Cheetos has always had loyal customers but have been looking for ways to break into the market in unique ways. They want to tap into their existing base while reaching new to brand customers including younger single consumers. The new product was a meal more than a snack, however, consumer insights showed that snacking was increasing during the pandemic. With the rise of snacking during the pandemic, we were challenged with inspiring people to snack on Cheetos Mac ‘n’ Cheese like they would snack on Cheetos.
We recommended promoting Cheetos Mac & Cheese as a snack, incorporating the already popular Cheetos product to give it a twist. To drive new to brand and engage existing fans, our goal was to promote and drive awareness of Cheetos Mac and Cheese as a fun, quick, and convenient addition to pantries that consumers will love!
Based on insights we crafted messaging to showcase how Cheetos Mac & Cheese has the same crowd pleasing taste of Cheetos, but with additional opportunities of fun through recipe creation and experimentation.
